Aerochix is an all-female Aerosmith tribute band from Boston, Massachusetts. The uniqueness of the band combined with the seasoned musicianship and electrifying live show, captures people’s attention everywhere they perform. The fact that the band is all female instantly peeks people’s curiosity; they want to see what it’s all about. The audience is always amazed when they see the band play, especially for the first time. The band tastefully portrays the image of Aerosmith in many aspects. The entire presentation, from the wardrobe, the musical equipment, to the onstage frolics and playful antics, and the authentic execution of the songs make people quickly forget they are watching an all female band and truly appreciate the musicianship. An Aerochix show is hard rockin’ and full of energy. The band plays songs that have kept live audiences all over the world on their feet screaming and singing along. You’ll hear hits from the early days like “Dream On”, “Sweet Emotion” and “Walk this Way” to more recent hits such as “Cryin”, “Pink”, and “Love in an Elevator”. Aerochix prides itself on being able to deliver the deep cuts that any hardcore Aerosmith fan would love to hear; songs such as “Seasons of Wither”, “Draw the Line”, “Last Child”, and “Movin’ Out”. The live performance of Aerochix captures the audience from the ringing of the very first note to the encore. Aerochix was formed in 2009 and has performed in a variety of venues, live on the radio and special events to audiences ranging from hundreds to thousands of people. Here are a few highlights: Aerochix headlined the Matt Brown Gala at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA April 2010 with over 5,000 people in attendance helping to raise over $750,000 for the foundation. In November of 2010 Aerochix headlined the sold-out WAAF Miss Mantown Calendar Event at Showcase Live. Aerochix has performed several shows with The Fools, one of Boston’s own legendary bands at Blue Ocean Music Hall in Salisbury, MA. Aerochix has played to support the troops in Falmouth on Cape Cod, The Girl’s Rock Camp Boston, and headlined two sold out shows in 2010 in Oliver’s at the famous Cask n Flagon in Boston, Massachusetts; one in August and one on New Year’s Eve.
Lead Singer- Rachel Clayton: Rachel, an executive chef by day, sure has some big shoes to fill. She channels the energy of Steven Tyler, who without a doubt is one of the world’s greatest, most famous front men in rock-n-roll history. Rachel gets into character and delivers a riveting performance. Capturing the gestures and moves, she brings to life the unique vocal style and “bad-ass” harmonica playing that leaves the audience wanting more.
Guitarist- Lisa Raven Lisa is an advertiser, graphic designer and marketing professional by trade. Lisa plays the part of Joe Perry, who is known for his down and dirty raw guitar style and signature tones. Lisa truly recreates the famous guitar parts. She brings the songs to life with an authentic tone and delivers the goods. From the ever-so- recognized Talk Box in “Sweet Emotion”, the killer slide work in “Draw the Line”, to the foot stomping live performance of four decades of hit songs, Lisa delivers with passion.
Guitarist- Sara Leketa Sara is the full-time, working musician of the band. When she is not playing in Aerochix, Sara is busy writing and recording her original music as well as performing to packed houses all over the East Coast. Sara’s amazing guitar work is solid and focused. She is a dynamic, soulful player and executes with style and passion. Perfecting these intricate and complex guitar riffs as performed by the unbelievable Mr. Brad Whitford is not an easy task, and she delivers every time.
Bass Player-Justine Klein Justine is a very accomplished musician, as well as businesswoman and entrepreneur. Justine has attended the highly acclaimed Berklee College of Music and the prestigious Harvard Business School. Justine is a force to be reckoned with. From the most intricate detail, to the well know grooves and riffs, she superbly executes the bass lines of these famous songs tastefully and with power and precision.
Drummer- Joni Scimone Joni works in the music retail industry by day, and rocks the rest of her time away. You could definitely say music has been her life’s passion. Joni has studied drums privately with some great drummers such as Dave DiCenzo and Joe Pet. She is the backbone and in the driver’s seat. She hits hard and delivers killer rhythms and signature drum fills song after song.
