Boston's "Music Blog of the Year" Ryan's Smashing Life recently identified Filligar as "one of the best young bands in America." They are a cover feature in the December 2010 issue of Performer Magazine, and recently sold out headlining shows at some of the nation's most popular and historical music halls- including Lincoln Hall (Chicago), Studio at Webster Hall (NYC), and Troubadour (Los Angeles).
A young touring rock 'n' roll quartet from Chicago, Filligar is brothers Pete, Teddy, and Johnny Mathias and lifelong friend Casey Gibson. For the last decade, Filligar has been writing, touring, and producing their own records. As Performer Magazine says, "Ten years may seem like a lifetime in the music industry - or half a lifetime, in Filligar's case - but they're still fresh out of college, a time when many bands are just reaching their formative years." They have shared the stage with the Black Keys, The Cool Kids, Ben Folds, and Bobby Ray.
