Labelled as 'The Best Irish band to EVER play in Baltimore, The ShamRogues have been entertaining crowds all over the East Coast since 2009 with their unique brand of Irish music and dance. From Washington D.C. to Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and the famous Irish venues of New York City the band has attracted fans of all ages and walks of life wherever they travel with their show. Having recently performed a series of sell out shows in Ireland the band has blasted onto the International scene in a blaze of electric fiddles and banjos
Put together by Banjo player Jim Phelan from Stradbally in Co. Laois, The ShamRogues have proven themselves very popular in Maryland, with an ever-growing group of supporters on the Irish pub scene in the Baltimore area. Not a band to stand around on stage blasting out song after song, The ShamRogues like to involve their audience in a fun, lively evening of songs and stories of Ireland, and God help anyone who forgets to clap along !!!
The ShamRogues have become a household name around the area and have played alongside some of the biggest names in the business including THE DUBLIN CITY RAMBLERS and THE WOLFE TONES - when asked to describe the group Sean McGuinness of the Ramblers said "The ShamRogues are a fantastic band and it was a pleasure to be in their company, they're keeping Irish music alive"
For a young Irish group in the United States references don't come much better than that, so watch out for the gigs, get your arse down to the pub and join in the craic, the ceol and drink with The ShamRogues
and if things go according to plan....
IT'S A NIGHT YOU'LL NEVER REMEMBER !!!!!
