Jazz is a native of the island of Antigua, West Indies. At age 3 she came to Canada with her parents, where she has now become a singing sensation. At age 7, she started composing songs and as a youth won first place in many singing competitions. Surprisingly, Jazz treated her vocal talent as just a hobby in her early years as she had been told, "Every black person can sing..."
Jazz has now founded the label WUOF (women united on fire) Records, funded by women in Business to support Women in Music, a pay it forward never done before.
Jazz is half of the popular blues-rock singing/songwriting duo, Sweet Synergy with guitarist, Chris Meidell, and also fronts the local jazz outfit, Jazz ETC.
Her incredible vocal abilities earned her spots with Brian Downey's Big Band, Quintet Plus One, Clay Young, and many other jazz ensembles. have been a featured artist to many Maple Blues Award winners such as Treasa Levasseur,Douglas Watson's R & B Revue etc. She has shared the stage with many Juno award winners, Jack de Keyser, Carlos Morgan, Liberty Silver and Order of Canada Member, actress/singer/songwriter, Salome Bey.
Jazz will amaze you the moment she steps onto the stage. From the commitment to her music, to the respect and warmth she shows to her audience, to her powerful vocals, it's true, it's real, and it's inspiring.
