Kim Kelley is a velvety folksinger, songwriter, and performer with a progressive flair. Her original songwriting and poetry of her lyrics capture the essence of the human spirit and will touch your heart. Kim’s rich, country-influenced folksy vocal style is reminiscent of a head-on collision between a timeless and fresh sound.
As a long-time resident of Bend, Oregon, Kim began as the lead vocalist and banjo player for a Bend-based bluegrass/folk band, Mean Willy. She then performed with folk/fusion bands, including Bending Blue and Goober, as a lead singer and banjo player. Since 2011, she has performed with a 5-piece roots/rock band, Downhill Ryder, as the lead writer, lead singer and guitar player. She also teams up with several talented musicians to perform her original modern-folk songs, as Kim Kelley Unit and O Sister.
