Brook Sutton, originally from New Orleans, moved to Nashville in 2006. He is both a seasoned bassist (upright and electric) and experienced recording engineer, having worked with many local and international artists. Currently, Brook plays bass for The Dave Isaacs Trio, The Justin Conn Band, Kristen Cothron, and many other artists in and around the Nashville area. Sutton has engineering credits that include work with jazz artists such as Ellis Marsalis, Marianne McPartland, Joe Krown, Henry Butler, Johnny Vidocovich, Peter Martin, and many others. He holds a Bachelor of Music with emphasis in Recording Technology from Loyola University-New Orleans and a Masters degree in Music Education with emphasis in Music Technology from Tennessee State University. In addition to his musical career, Brook is also active as a music educator at Tennessee State University teaching recording classes and bass. He is married to the lovely Susan Verberne-Sutton and proud father.
