Born to a Swedish mother and an American father, she was raised in Sweden. She wrote songs and poetry from the age of five.
She left Sweden for Devon in 1998, where she studied at Dartington, composing her songs and jamming with her fellow students.
After her graduation, she went on to work as a community musician for Wren Music. She stayed in Devon, where she still lives, leading choirs, giving singing tuition and performing.
In 2003, she recorded the album Water Carvings. It was made in memory of her late husband Tom, a gentle and much-loved young man who died in cancer earlier that year.
She released the album Untold in 2008, produced by Rob Waite. This lead to the BBC hailing her as a ‘fresh and altogether captivating talent’.
