KINGS OF SPADE are a high-energy, shameless dancing, foot-stomping brand of Blues Rock’N'Roll. Don’t let the tattooed arms or florescent mohawk of lead singer, Kasi Nunes, fool you. Kasi’s vocals are a fiery and passionate hybrid of soul queens Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin. With music conceived in their hometown in Honolulu, Hawaii, KOS jumped at the opportunity to record in Nashville, TN with grammy nominated and AMA winning producer, Dave Cobb (Rival Sons, Shooter Jennings). With the help of a successfully over-funded Kickstarter project to raise funds to record with Cobb, KOS will debut their 2nd self-titled album in February 2014. They are also lauched their 5th US mainland tour in March 2014 with 25 shows stretching from Los Angeles to Austin to the Midwest. Fresh off the heels of a string of east coast dates opening for Kings X in November 2013 and later for Rival Sons in December 2013, the KINGS are no strangers to big audiences. Their energetic live show beat out 50 other competing bands to win the opening slot for Bon Jovi’s Circle Tour and has also landed them as the openers for other world-famous acts like the Deftones, Daughtry, Everclear, and Mutemath. Their song Boys In The Band is featured on the film soundtrack for the Warner Brothers released Utopian Society. In 2012 KOS kicked off a cross-country tour at the Autumn Lights Festival in Los Angeles and trekked all the way to New York. They played an extensive 22 show US Mainland Tour in March 2013 which included a performance on Good Morning Austin on Fox 7 news, several showcases at the the Red Gorilla Music Festival, the Dirty Dog, Blind Pig Rooftop Stage, and the Texas Rockfest Stage in Austin.
