After 5 years of song writing and tracking, Pete and Brad decided to form a band to
interpret their songs and called on Colin Edyvean to play bass.
Once the trio started jamming on a regular basis, Brad invited Jason Mamone
to add his rhythm guitar skills. The timing was perfect. The boys called on Air Dark
formerly of “Scapegoat” to take control of the lead vocals, and Heavy Early was born.
• 2010 Pete, Brad, Jason, Air and Colin record and mix their debut release “Volume One”.
On Halloween 2010, Heavy Early perform Volume One for the first time live at the Blue Moon
in Toronto’s east end. The guys spend the next year gigging and perfecting their live show at
venues such as The Duke on Queen, The El Mocombo, The Rivoli Tavern, and the Cherry Cola
Rock n Rolla Cabaret & Lounge.
In July 2011, Colin steps down and the boys are met with the challenge of finding the right
replacement for bass duties. Fate would have it that veteran bass player Paul Luis
(Rear View Mirror) was looking for a new creative outlet to join, and within weeks Heavy Early
was back on track and introduced their new rhythm man at the Heavy Early Summer Jam
at Cherry Cola’s Rock n Rolla on August 9th.
