Andy started writing music as a teenager. His early musical influences range from The Mama's and the Papa's to Buck Owens, He remembers listening to music from a very early age, on an old reel-to-reel, singing and learning piano with his father. Heavily influenced by r&b, rock, funk, country, and even show tunes, he sings and plays all genres.
Andy played in a few bands in his early days back in Chicago, and even started the country/rock band Rodeo Riot. When that band broke up, as early bands tend to, Andy did what many aspiring artists do...He packed up and moved to Nashville.
Andy has been playing the local writer's night scene in Nashville and gaining popularity with his soulful lyrics and vocals. He sometimes backs up several local artist like Jill Sissel, Susan Alexander and Tonya Noga.
