Chelsea Guy born and raised in San Antonio, Texas to a Latin mother and British father, is a singer/songwriter, with a passion for soulful R&B music and a promise to intrigue, inspire, excite and motivate listeners with her lyrics and vocal attributes.
She started her love of music at the early age of five with her school/church choir. Being blessed with her musical genes passed on by her late father, her piano and choir recitals at a very young age confirmed her passion and ambition to become a vocalist, musician and song writer.
Her diverse group of musical influences from Mariah Carey, Lisa Fischer, Bette Midler, Selena, Trey Lorenz, Toni Braxton, Brian McKnight, and Kim Burrell and ambition led her to start recording at the age of 15. She began with Latin Grammy Award winning producer Alex "ACE 1" Espinoza where she actually co-wrote and recorded her first song "Make a Move; with the topic for a teenage crush about the guy next door. She quickly followed up with the song "I'm Done" which culminated in a remix with renowned San Antonio rapper Fade Dogg. Expanding on her fan base with Hip Hop, R&B and Pop she continued recording and performing at any and all venues. Her first performance was for Mix 96 in Del Rio, Texas where the headliner did not show and the call went out to her to replace the headliner. She reached out to rapper Fade Dogg and they both agreed to a duet for the single "I'm Done" to Headline the show.
Chelsea Guy has been the opening act for many A list performers and routinely supports community events with her rhythmic vocals such as San Antonio Pride Fest at Hemisphere Plaza, Bloom & Bistro Cafe' as a special guest performer for San Antonio Idol contest and also performing the National Anthem at sports and boxing events. She was a member of Network for Young Artists, (NYA) an organization whose mission is to promote art and culture through voice, dance, musical instrument and performing arts programs. She is currently working with Best of Both Worlds Vocal Productions under the direction of Sonia Florie and Alisa Claridy where she has definitely expanded her vocal and performance ability to the top level and has been nominated for Best R&B Artist in San Antonio by the San Antonio Music Awards
She is currently collaborating with numerous producers to complete her long anticipated solo project. Chelsea Guy has caught the eye of industry veteran writers and producers such as Christopher Moore acclaimed writer for Grammy Award Winning Recording Artist "Mya" vocalist, producer and founder of The Narrators. Chelsea is finishing up her second EP titled N:OW with Mario Joel Romero [MJR] from Denver Colorado, a producer and songwriter whose credits include writing for Latin songstress Amanda Perez on many of her projects. . Chelsea has several songs ready to go and the current single titled "N:OW" pairs her vocals with stage mate Bambu. Their chemistry is interwoven in this up tempo anthem.
