Dub FX is breaking down barriers separating reggae from the world of pop music. Their fresh sound is igniting pop music and dance club scenes while earning deep respect in the reggae and world music communities.
Evolving from Bay Area reggae bands Inka Inka and Dub Nation, Dub FX fans the torch of local reggae with new stylistic blends that fuse into powerful high-energy grooves. Their 2004 self-titled release featured regional hit singles "Tell Me What You Want" and "Busted" received extended airplay on local stations all over the Bay Area.
Members of Dub FX have played major reggae festivals such as Reggae on the River, Monterey Reggae and Sierra Nevada World Music Festivals and the Vermont Reggae Festival. They have graced the stage of the Shoreline Amphitheater and have had the honor of opening for musical icons Toots and the Maytals, Yellowman, Eek-a-Mouse, The English Beat and Pato Banton. They have also performed as a back up band for touring Jamaican artists Judy Mowatt, Yami Bolo, Justin Hinds, Sister Carol, J.C. Lodge, and the Congos.
