Chuck Beatty is most well known as a veteran of the Pittsburgh blues scene. However, Beatty’s unique style is a spicy blend of blues, country, rock ‘n’ roll, and folk that is hard to describe. Often compared to Tom Waits and Johnny Cash, Chuck’s gravelly vocals also evoke Howlin Wolf. His guitar style ranges from primal electric (ala Bo Diddley) to finger style acoustic.
A new member of the Nashville Songwriters Association, Beatty's unique original songs feature crafty arrangements and outstanding musicianship featuring such artists as Stanley J. and George Marcenko.
Regularly performing as Breadline Preachers, Chuck's performing partner, Stanley J. Mikolajek, is one of the area's best known blues harp players. Stanley is also an outstanding vocalist.
