Julie Saylor / Bio

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Julie began singing in the children's choir at nine years old. By ten she was a regular soloist, and by the time she entered high school she was a featured performer in musical and theater productions at her church, school, and community. After high school Julie took almost a decade-long hiatus from performing, but the music bug bit again in her late twenties. Julie joined a rock cover band, and played the local scene while trying her hand at songwriting. Over the next few years she gained momentum and experience, playing with several projects throughout the Southeast. Though none of her early songs were ever recorded, Julie and then music collaborator Alex Foxx won the South Carolina Acoustic Challenge in 2003 with their bluesy pop/rock ballad, "Too Far Gone." Today Julie makes her home in Daytona Beach, Florida, where she is a familiar face on the Central Florida music scene.

Primarily influenced by classic rock, blues, and country, with just a bit of pop, Julie's diverse and eclectic style has been channeled into a delightful collection of original songs with infectious grooves, clever lyrics, and a "rise above" attitude that listeners will immediately identify with.
