I like it all... as long as it has a ring of authenticity and an ounce of truth.
My interests are scattered and genre adverse, Music takes me to a still-point.
In my early 20's I studied creative experimental improv with Toronto avante guarde guitarist Lloyd Garber, which was wild and off the beaten track... look him up. Later on I studied straight jazz with Hank Monis. Great teacher... (I wasn't a great student). I spent many years with Brookfield, a band of creative song writers in a contemporary folk vein... all original, all the time.
Currently exploring a blend of inside out chord shapes. Looking for harmony in the discord, and voicings that allow string sounds to roll out and resonate across the landscape of a tune.
Also getting back to my source material... Carlos Santana. Blues and groove!
