ianhard / Bio

ianhard came on the scene in the late nineties, after being under the influence and going to many parties and loving the music would go home in the early hours and would create for the moment.
Some of the classics include: Donald, where's my dancing shoes?, I don't want no woman singing on my techno and Dangerous.
Most of ian's material was recorded to tape so would resort to live performances using real musicians playing a variety of instruments and percussion and also a drum machine, keyboard and an old Akai sampler.
In 2005 ian met jonathon and upon hearing the tracks ian had recorded, started to incorporate the tracks into his sets. Technology had finally caught up and now ian could be shared amongst the masses.
"Ian had all this stuff lying around and upon a deeper listen I could see that he had something unique to put into the equasion- a different level of sonicness", Jonathon recalls.
In 2008 Jonathon remixed an old ep of ian's - Funk Delunk and he also started mashing tracks from Gworld with ianhard.
The rest is history as ian and jon continue to bring more of their brand of minimilist noise, quirkyness and houseyness.
