Martin Gilmore / Bio

The Martin Gilmore Trio isn’t afraid to explore genres. Led by guitarist and singer-songwriter Martin Gilmore, the MGT brings a lot of music to life. Throughout their sound, there a common thread of American music – folk, bluegrass, country, swing and jazz. Martin Gilmore is a noted solo performer and the lead singer of the bluegrass band Long Road Home. He has performed all over the United States, Canada and Ireland. He has shared the stage with members of Hot Rize, Uncle Earl, The Infamous Stringdusters, The Nashville Bluegrass Band and many more. He is joined by the 2005 Rockygrass mandolin competition winner Nick Amodeo (Otis Taylor) and recent University of Colorado graduate in bass performance Ian Haegele (Thunder and Rain, Long Road Home).
