A native New Yorker, and triple threat singer-songwriter-actress, Nina has performed in a number of on and off Broadway theatrical presentations, blockbuster films, and musical venues. In addition to splitting her time between New York, Atlanta & Los Angeles for work, Nina is currently recording her first album, where she is lays down jazz, blues & soul influenced vocals to the backing of a live band. Her inspirations are…. Sade, Dinah Washington, Nina Simone, Lianne La Havas and Lana Del Rey. When she is not performing, Nina can be found helping young performers overcome stage fright and achieve their artistic potential through a program she founded, known as Shyla. Nina is currently an Assistant Production Supervisor for the independent movie “TUCHT” with ASAOPE Independent FilmWorks, LLC. Nina as worked with AFM, Local 802 Justice for Jazz, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and 95.5 WPLJ
In her free time Nina volunteers with several originations like The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, The New Music Seminar, Office of Manhattan Borough President Scott M. Stringer, and the 57th Presidential Inauguration Swearing-In Ceremony in Washington, DC. Nina is extremely passionate about Animal Welfare, Arts and Culture, Civil Rights, Social Action and The Environment
Nina has trained with Ujamaa Theater Director Titus Walker, Cari Cole Voice Studios, Off Balance/On Target with Gary Austin & Carol Fox Prescott and with Dominique Plaisant. Nina is presently attending Baruch College pursuing her (BA) in Entertainment Management and Law, Minor Psychology.
