It's easy to lose yourself to Fieldtrip's music, which can be described as a mix of SoCal Reggae, funk, and hiphop with a twist of the blues. Melodic vocal harmonies and flowing lyrics lay nicely on top of Dance-able beats and Smooth bass-lines that will be sure to get your feet moving and keep your heads bobbin. The diversity in their style attracts people of all colors and cultures.
Their distinctive live performances include freestyles and jams that could go in any direction and tend to turn the heads of passerbyes, leaving them curious, wonderdering, and wanting more. Inspired by a diverse array of music, some of their influences include Sublime, Damian Marley, Chili Peppers, 311, Rage Against The Machine, Atmosphere, Slightly Stupid, Jack Johnson, and many others. GDuB from Fieldtrip has opened for and shared the stage with legendary local bands such as Kymani Marley, Pato Banto, The Watchlist, Ishmael and the Peacemakers, Tommy Dubs, Live Zion, and Rightjas Blend. Celebrities such as Mike Starr of Alice in Chains, Saint Dog of Kottonmouth Kings, and a member from the Devastators have all made guest appearances at Fieldtrip performances.
Their message, much like their music, aims to bring many different colors together and create a positive vibration in the universe. Their values revolve around family, good friends, bringing people together, positivity, embracing eachothers differences, and helping those in need.
