Felony Flats originally formed in late 2009 in Salem, Oregon. After a couple of line-up changes and continual struggles to get something established, Felony Flats finally solidified in September of 2013 when Tim Harbaugh(vocals), met Matthew Baker(guitar) through mutual friends. The two of them had an immediate musical connection and began working on material. With Harbaugh's unique vocal style and Baker's unique abilities on the axe, it seemed to be a good match. After having a handful of songs established they decided to post a Craig's List ad for a drummer, and it didn't take long to get a reply. His name was Matt Blaylock. He was new in town, passionate about music and ready to beat the hell out of some drums. That was just what they needed. A few weeks later the final missing piece replied to the add as well. Dion Gering, a talented musician from a small town just outside of Salem. He was ready to bring the bass. Less than two months later they we're playing their very first show together. The band worked very hard from the moment they got together and just seven months after playing their first show they entered a battle of the bands competition hosted by Gorilla Music at the Hawthorne Theater in Portland, Oregon. Not only did they find themselves moving onto the finals, but winning the finals as well. This lead to the band going onto record their debut album, "Symptoms" at Falcon Recording Studios in Portland, Oregon on August 30th 2014. Followed by an album release show on January 17th 2015. Two months later the band went on the willamette valley's local radio station, "KMUZ", and performed 3 songs live acoustically to promote their new album, "Symptoms". The band continued to grind, and without wasting anytime one year and three months later, on April 8th, 2016 they released their follow-up album, "Prognosis". which they recorded and produced themselves. Without any plans of slowing down Felony Flats is sure to continue gaining steam. With their catchy, edgy style and their always entertaining, energetic live performances this is one band that you should definitely be looking out for!
