Heavily influenced by the Faces,70's era Stones and early Fleetwood Mac,we try to recreate the feeling that you had when you went to your 1st Sports Arena show.Based out of San Diego, Ca Stone Horse is your proverbial rock band with a kick!! It happened one fine summer day, after a chance meeting at Windansea beach in 2009,when co-founders Carlos Rodriguez(guitar) and Danielle Spade (lead vocals) decided to put their musical heads together and create what later became as Stone Horse. They wrote songs reminiscent of their early 70's British and American influences,a catch, driving 10 song CD entitled "Grit" resulted and was released in Febuary of 2014. "Grit" was nominated "Best rock album" in 2014 by the San Diego Music Awards, and their. southern rocker ballad "Remember when"nominated in 2015 by The Indie Music Channel and is in the top 3 nomination for "Global Eye" best song by the Colorado Music Awards to be held in Denver,Co in September. Not unlike the neighborhoods that make up their city, the band's forthcoming second full-length studio release, "Nobody rides for free" is a musical melting pot blending influences of blues, southern , ska and even a bit o' country twang!! However doing what they do best at the end of the day , the result is good ole rock and roll!! Their just released fires single "Look what I've done" is to be followed by a music video slated for released in April. Backed by Dave Steinman (Drums)
Jeffrey Bloom (Bass) and Jim Nau (lead Guitar) Stone Horse is. getting out of the stable and out on the road!! For concert information , photos and interviews go to www.stonehorse.net Thank You!!
