Ladies & Gentlemen, Introducing a new and exciting product from Columbus Ohio, TOAST. It’s 100% all natural, original and biodegradable with no additives or preservatives. TOAST is a special blend of Rock, R& B, and Jam originals combined with a diverse assortment of covers to create that one of a kind TOAST flavor. With an extensive menu of popular rock favorites, TOAST has the fiber to satisfy most any taste & it only takes one taste to get you hooked.
In addition to their savory originals, every TOAST show features popular hits from such artists as: The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty, Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, The Clash, The Pretenders, Grateful Dead, Humble Pie, Cream, Van Morrison, The Doors, Dire Straits, Screaming Trees, Allman Brothers, Talking Heads, Velvet Underground and Jane's Addiction.
July 1999 brought the birth of TOAST, and since then, the band has continued to develop a fan base in Columbus and throughout Ohio. In the time since the band’s start, they have completed the release of their debut studio release “Codename: Hard-Hat” to positive reviews. Both the Columbus Alive and Columbus Dispatch have likened TOAST to such bands as Widespread Panic, MOE and Steely Dan, to name a few. TOAST received national press when RELIX magazine featured a review of the band’s CD in their December ’01 issue’s “On The Verge” column. The band has also received radio airplay on Columbus’ WOBN, numerous internet radio shows and Annapolis based WRNR where the CD made Bill Wright’s top 30 CD’s of 2001. The CD also features guest performances from members of Ekoostik Hookah, and The Mullins Band.
After several years’ hiatus with members pursuing other projects, TOAST returned to the stage with a new lineup. Performing as a four-piece unit, TOAST showcases former members of some of central Ohio's most popular bands.

Originally from the Pittsburgh area, Bassist/vocalist Sam Collis played with various groups before joining the reggae band “Ras Prophet". The group had a strong regional following and supported both International and national acts such as “Burning Spear” and “Inner Circle” as well as opening the Pittsburgh leg of the international “Reggae Sunsplash” tour at the IC Light Amphitheater. After moving to Columbus, Sam served as an original member of the "John Mullins Band", and toured the region extensively as a headline act as well as supporting stints with national artists “Rusted Root”. Sam lays a mean groove as well as brings a soulful songwriting and vocal element to TOAST.

Lead Guitarist John Widner showcased his skills with such bands as "The Bellows", "The Serial Killers", and "The Soundmasons". John can do it all from scorching riffs to sweet melodic slide. He adds an unforgettable energy to the TOAST sound. John’s exceptional abilities keep him in demand as a session player as well as performing “hired gun” work for such groups as Shuckin Bubba, Stonebyrd and others.

Lead Vocalist/Rhythm Guitarist Scott Wise with his burning vocal style brings a diversity of sound to TOAST. Scott was in "The Soundmasons" (with John Widner) and toured the region with Columbus's own "Stonebyrd". He received accolades for his song "Spiral Staircase" in a "Relix" magazine review of the first Stonebyrd LP. His songwriting reflects TOAST's commitment to being multidimensional and original.

Drummer Ed Repasy honed his jazz chops at Capital U before hooking up to gig with such groups as “Rick Boals” and “Without Warning”. Eventually Ed found himself playing with the “John Mullins Band” and “Stonebyrd”, and the rest is history. Ed can lay down anything from jazz to jam while anchoring a formidable rhythm section with a taste and flare all his own.
