Brant Parker has two gifts: a unique voice; and a guitar sound that is all his own. One listen to our new CD, "River of Broken Dreams," or a live set, and you will know the Brant Parker sound. That sound along with a solid rhythm section are the secrets to our success.
We have been playing together as the Brant Parker Band for the past four years. As a result of our efforts and talent, we were awarded Best Blues Band in 2012 and again in 2013 at the Niagara Music Awards. Our recent CD, "River of Broken Dreams" was produced by multiple Juno award winner Jack DeKeyser. On the strength of this CD, we have been nominated for a Maple Blues award.
The Brant Parker Band has enjoyed sharing the stage with the "Who's Who" of Canadian blues, including Jack DeKeyser, Jerome Godboo, Leroy Emmanuel, Michael Pickett, Bill Durst, Joel Johnson and Cheryl Lescome.
As individuals we have worked with Tony Bennett (yes, that Tony Bennett), Roy Young (the 5th Beatle), Lance Anderson and Kelly Jay (Crowbar). We have had the privilege of opening for such notables as Mick Taylor, Colin James, Dr. John and John Mayall.
We have found a great home in Niagara, building a fan base at pubs and clubs in this area. While we enjoy playing at home, we are looking forward to sharing our sound with Festival and club audiences across Canada.
