Carol Leven has been described as "a wonderful talent and a really fine singer." Known also as a composer and arranger, she has worked extensively in New York City for more than a decade including the Village Gate and the Angry Squire. She began her career in musical theater and toured with several summer stock companies. Leven has studied and the New School's Jazz program and was mentored by some of the greatest vocal legends, including Sheila Jordan, Mark Murphy, Terri Thorton, and Anne Marie Moss.
New York native Nick Moran began studying trumpet at age ten, later switching to guitar. He holds a B.F.A. in Jazz Performance from the City College of New York where he was a protégé student of the great Ron Carter. Jazz Music writes: “His exceptional composing ability and fertile writer's imagination are reflected in a playing style that is transparent in its articulation, logical, devoid of trite cliches.” A bandleader and clinician, Moran holds master classes in rhythm studies and improvisation, and fronts his own trio in venues such as the NY Bahá’i Center, the Brooklyn Museum and the Bar Next Door.
