The Helsinki based Lani Quartet is a new band specialising in Hawaiian music. You can also hear a hint of western swing in their music.

The band was founded in spring of 2013 and appeared at first as a trio (Lester Peabody, Uke Igor and Hannu Rantanen) until the summer when the singer-guitarist Juki Välipakka and double bassist Matti Tegelman came along and the trio became a quartet .

The repertoire consists of both own and cover songs.

The band recorded in November 2013 a three-song demo, which includes the songs: Exactly Like You, Honolulu Baby and Laguna Girl.
