Bringing BASSCORE to the world! BASSCORE: 1# The Bass has no rules. 2# Bass overplays and leads the songs. 3# Everyone comes together for the hook!

Detroit based Mindrought is embarking on a new chapter and look to push the boundaries of their own genre creation...Basscore. The self professed "Lead Bass Metal" band has been turning heads and taking names in the Midwest region since 2001, but an all new lineup has geared up to make jaws drop. While sticking to the lead bass format, the band has amassed quite a catalog in their 15 year, six disc, mutli sub genre songwriting attack, only looking to expand this sound from all of their knowledge and experience. Mindrought has found that niche that makes them sound like no other band in the Detroit area. Different, unique, funky, technical and very progressive. Machine head meets lamb of god with a hint of pantera and killswitch. New influences include Animals as leaders, DTP and BB. The new goal looking to the future is prog bass excess, metal songwriting journeys and big hooks.

Expanding the new bass musical horizon is young bodybuilding 6 string tapping virtuoso Mike Giguere. Nicknamed "THE BEAST", he is like an animal unleashed on the bass, but also brings a harmony mind and searing bass riff writing skills. He is the perfect fit for Basscore. Mike was voted top five bassist in his previous state. Welcome to Detroit!

New vocalist Chris Grissom aka BBC came to Mindrought in a "Everything happens for a reason" kinda way. We thank JC and AM. After performing for years in rival local bands, Chris and TKO buried rival stuff and agreed to work together, sharing the same vision and hardworking style. BBC is chomping at the bit, singing, screaming, rapping, and more singing, bringing his mutli-genre style to front the band.

Coming full circle as one time previous vocalist, new drummer Demarcus Sumtner brings a road tested jazz/metal style perfectly suited for the new songwriting styles of the band, and representing the history of the band with professional on point precision. Off time sig will be the norm for the all new Mindrought, and Demarcus is more than ready.

After being voted BEST LOCAL CD in 2013, the band is ready to embark on the next leg, the next level. 2015 will bring a few releases along the way and a new full length. The band is preparing to shoot a few pro videos and playing some regional shows to warm up for the new year. Basscore.....coming soon to a town near you....
