Rarely an artist comes along who could be compared with the likes of Damian Marley or Capelton and at the same time with such artists as Nas, and Mos. Def. With sounds parallel to none, Lynx is such an artist. Jamaica, a culture so immersed in its music, it’s reflected through the every day lives of its people whether it be dancehalls, deejay battles, conversations or even at a wait. Lynx, literally in the sense of the word could be considered a hybrid artist, fusing reggae with hip hop to create his unique style. Jamaican raised until his late teenage years, Philadelphia became his new home with fresh challenges to face and music as a connector of both worlds.
