Fire Engine Red formed in Pittsburgh, PA, in 1989, cycling through many different members and under insane chaotic circumstances. They formed a solid line-up after relocating to Hollywood, California in 1992, and began playing the popular dives: Al's Bar, Bob's Frolic 3, Hell's Gate, Troy Cafe, and Eagle's Cafe. After a couple years of paying their dues and refusing to pay-to-play, the foursome started landing gigs at the bigger clubs and building a following at Club Lingerie, The Whiskey A-Go-Go, and the Coconut Teaser. After a slew of life changing miracles, founding members Tim and Donna experienced radical conversions to Jesus Christ and reemerged totally changed. Their music went from hopeless caterwauling to passionate sharing the hope of the Gospel of Jesus and His gift of redemption and salvation. These days Donna is on drums and songs range from pounding rhythms, hooky guitar and raw vocals to haunting acoustic takes in the living room with their 4 kids dancing or banging on xylophones.
