Lucky Laskowski is perennial loser who hasn't been told. A singer/songwriter from Sacramento, California, he writes songs about places he'll never go to, and breaks your heart singing songs about girls he's never loved. A story teller holding a guitar.
"I started writing when I was a teenager. My idols weren't guys who could sing a song about what they've done. You're not my therapist. I'm amazed by the guys that can sell a life that never happened. Johnny Cash convinced you he killed a man. Charles Bukowski sold you a life of wandering, while barely leaving Los Angeles. Those are my heroes. The ones who can sell you a lie, and have you thank them for it."
While recording an album at a bay area studio, he was once graced with Tom Waits' presence. When Waits heard Lucky's song he said "You write a nice song kid, but why do they all gotta be so god damned sad?" That's the goal. Lucky's songs will move you. Love him or hate him, he won't be ignored.
