As a renowned session player, live performer, composer and recording artist, Jo Cuseo’s music career has gone into skyrocket mode with honors from Grammy 2016 for first ballot selections in the following categories: Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album for his 2015 EP release titled Cool Wind. This is the second time Jo Cuseo has been noticed on a first ballot by the academy.
As a versatile songwriter, producer, recording artist, Jo Cuseo’s musical passions include a multitude of styles. Mastering it all from blues/rock, modern country, contemporary and straight ahead jazz.
A graduate of the legendary Dick Grove School of Music, Jo Cuseo has worked with legendary studio guitarist, Michael Landau, composer/guitarist Tom DeLuca and Nashville composer/producer Jan Buckingham. Cuseo’s musical influences include The Allman Brothers, Eric Clapton and Larry Carlton. Its no wonder this San Diego bred, Los Angeles based musician has accomplished so much versatility and adaptability.
Cuseo has entered the music licensing world; working with L.A. based engineer, producer and longtime studio owner, Huey Dee. Cuseo has built a powerful, multi-faceted library of songs and cues that are currently available for film, television and other new media projects.
Jo Cuseo is also a headliner solo artist who has played everywhere from The Viper Room, House of Blues, Hollywood’s Hard Rock Cafe to the famed Canyon Club.
Cuseo has recorded two pop/jazz recordings with longtime producer Bob Summers featuring a colorful mix of vocals and instrumentals for Into the Light (2014) and Cool Wind (2015).
