I loaded up the truck in 1998 and headed out of Decatur TN bound for Nashville chasin' my dreams like so many others before me. Somewhere in the past 12 years I realized it's the chasin' that's important. Regardless of the outcome, gettin out of my comfort zone and goin for it is what it's all about.
These days I'm blessed to have the opportunity to write with some of the most talented people in the world and play with the most talented musicians. I've also been blessed with cuts on records like Billy Currington's "A Little Bit Of Everything" as well as Kevin Fowler, Corey Morrow, and Rodney Carrington, albums.
Since the Fall of 2010 I've been opening shows for one of the coolest acts in the business today and a great friend Mr. Jamey Johnson. My new record "Hennessee, Like Tennessee" will be available on iTunes, AmazonMP3, Rhapsody and all the others in June 2011 and the CD will be available in early July.
One thing I know for sure, God has a plan for all of us and the odds are those plans are not exactly the plans we've made for ourselves. Just let him drive and enjoy the ride. He has blessed me with a beautiful (inside and out) wife who supports me 100 percent, a supportive family and the opportunity to play guitar and tell stories for a living. I couldn't ask for more.
