Restoration is a Canadian female vocal group with a contemporary sound that has been influenced by a deep seeded Christian/gospel inspiration. The group consists of sisters Joan Black, Dotlyn Wright and Dyan Fletcher, and before Restoration was officially formed, they had been performing for years as the “Wright Sisters”.
Born Joan Olethia Wright (Jamaica), Dotlyn May Wright (Calgary) and Dyan Rosetta Wright (Calgary), God has always been the foundation of Restorations world. They grew up as “pastors kids” which mean that they grew up in a very strict household where basically nothing was allowed, except music, which was a key fundamental in their upbringing.
Restoration knew from an early age that they were called into a music ministry to serve the people, and like most singers that grew up in the church, exercised their gifts by singing in various church choirs. Over the years the group obtained a reputation as a dynamic vocal force that is accompanied with a unique three part harmony.
In 2012 under the anointing of the Holy Ghost, Elder O’neil Fisher (Toronto) prophesied that it was time the sisters began recording, and Restoration is set to release their album on Friday April 1st, 2016.
“We are not about being famous. Restorations mandate for our music is to connect with the people and let them know that no matter how far they feel they have gone, that God restores. Ultimately our goal is to serve God and his people with our body, hearts, minds, souls and voices to minister to the lost and dying, to be a vessel of change that will touch lives and win souls for his kingdom.”
