Southern Accent was born originally as “Acoustik Electrick” a acoustic duo featuring the Skinner brothers (Jeremy and Joshua) while they still pulled full time in a previous band. The addition of Ed Peace on electric guitar for a couple of “trio” gigs started the mental wheels a’turnin’. After little conversation about what or who could be added at Bass and Drums. Blake Richards came on board (bass), along with Kevin Albertson (drums), and the two laid a “groove” the first night of practice that you could drive a Mack truck through (as our good buddy BZ would say) Over the first two years of Southern Accent bassist seem to be the hardest to keep, Blake left the band in September of 2011, and the spot was initially platooned before settling in for a year with phenom blues guitarist Colin Alvarez covering the post for a little over a year. Around November of 2012 Colin left to focus on his own existing blues venture called Sazbo. Immediately a call was made to Brad Williams who was part of the aforementioned platoon. Brad is now our primary bassist and lends his vocals in both lead and harmony rolls perfectly.
