Jaslynn / Bio

JASLYNN - JaslynnSinger/Songwriter, Jaslynn was born and raised in Mississippi. By the time she was thirteen, Jaslynn entered her first talent contest. Taking center stage, she delivered her own version of Donna Summers’ “On the Radio” at the Delta Talent Show, sponsored by John F. Kennedy High School of Mound Bayou, Mississippi. Both the audience and judges were quite impressed and Jaslynn went home with the first place prize.

Jaslynn, a former member of the group "SSSIP", is very grateful for having the opportunity of working with the late great "Ed Townsend", singer/songwriter/producer and his son "David Townsend" from the R&B group "Surface". Since moving to Austin, Texas, Jaslynn has performed at several clubs, talent showcases as well as private affairs. The audience's response has always been excellent and the crowds are always wanting more.

She draws inspiration from many great singers including: Deborah Cox, Gladys Knight, Anita Baker, Celine Deon, Toni Braxton and Nicole C. Mullens. When Jaslynn is not singing or working; you may find her spending time with family and friends, sewing, dancing or reading. More often, she is just out there trying to make someone else feel good, sharing her love of life with the world. "Stay positive and never give up on your dreams", she always says.

Having just completed her debut album "No Ordinary Love", under the label Crossroad Records, with producer/ composer Baby Ben, of Baby Ben productions, Jaslynn is excited to be able to share her love for music around the world. Jaslynn’s album “No Ordinary Love” is currently for sale at CD Baby and Itunes. Visit crossroadrecords.com for current updates.
