Langston Wayne Gibson & 6 Strings Down / Bio

The band was formed in the fall of 2003 in a little bar called "Stadens" In Griffin,Ga. The founding members were Matt" Spanky" Roland and " The Voodoo Child" himself Langston Wayne Gibson. This band was formed on the basic principles of playing what they wanted to play and however they wanted to play it, with a fusion of Rock , Blues and Country that were able to form a very unique sound rarely heard these days. When you ask them are they Blues, Rock, or Country they simply reply....All of the above, with a belief that they just play music, it is up to everyone else to label them. With songs like "Why does tradition", "Life Illusions", and "Life's Road", it is clear that these players do not want to be defined with one sound. In 2012, Jaselyn Toole ( whose power/soulful vocals and is a talented songwriter) joined the group. With this new addition to the group, they are able to give a little edge to the Americana scene. Though they may not be the best players out there they do have a ride to take you on and one hell of a story to tell. So sit back and buckle up because this is gonna be a ride like none other.
