The High Hopes Band is the premiere modern roots reggae band in New England, and have been presented the 2015 Best Band in State of Massachusetts award by the New England Music Awards. High Hopes tours yearly on the East coast and in the U.S. Virgin Islands and has provided tour support in the Northeast & New York, to a variety of well known reggae artists such as Ziggy Marley, Easy Star All-Stars, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Morgan Heritage, Freddie McGregor, Maxi Priest & The Simpkin Project, to name some. They've shared the stage with Steel Pulse, Third World, Inner Circle, Yellow Man & Midnite. In the Fall of 2014, their album release, "Forever Love," reached #35 in the Itunes top 100 all-time reggae albums charts. In October of 2014 Surf Roots Radio chose them as the featured artist for their web stream of over 100,000 listeners.
High Hopes Band pulls from the paths of many golden-era reggae musicians — Jamaican artists of the late 60s-early 70s who drew upon the Motown, country/Americana, and rock & blues movements of their time — and aims to fuse that classic, orthodox sound with today’s current styles. The result is an amalgam of genres: sweet hints of R&B, soul, and country music matched with spicy influences from second-generation Jamaican musicians.
They are currently working with Grammy award-winning producer Paul Santo on an upcoming single due out 4th quarter of 2015.
