Under its first name "Synecdoche" Sub-Urban formed from the ashes of the band San Simeon Way. The first two members were Thomas McIlroy and Blake Woodham, who stuck together after the first project collapsed around them. Struggling to find more musicians Thomas reached out to Derek Ham and the three hit it off rather well! Unfortunately Derek had to step down from the band in order to follow his own dreams. Now with two completed songs and no bassist they began searching again. After a while they asked former sit-in singer from San Simeon Way Lauren Savannah to join them, and they pushed forward.
After a few weeks or months of going nowhere and having trouble with prospective lead guitarists Blake was approached by Caylen Herr and after a few conversations with Blake and between Blake and Thomas, he was over for a practice. Things went great and the strong core of the band grew from two to three. What followed next was an explosion of song writing and jamming. Developing their sound and tightening their act.
Working towards live local gigs and a demo Sub-Urban approaches the summer at full force hoping to leave behind the unforgettable echo of a summers thunder.
