Antonio Cameron Ross, affectionately known as Tone, is a worshiper at best. His heart for God was groomed by his parents, James and Valetta Ross, from birth. Growing up he was considered a true son of his church, Christ Temple in Gary, Indiana. Along with his family, he attended just about every service that the church had to offer. However, the most important event that he could ever attend was choir rehearsals with his mother. This marked the beginning of his musical journey that is currently rising to heights that once seemed to be unimaginable.
Needless to say, music has always been a part of Tone's DNA. During his high school years he founded his first choir, Voices of Reason, as an after school alternative for students. Since then, Tone has been studying music and music business at Columbia College Chicago with some of the best professors and personnel in the country. While studying there, he has served as the student conductor and composer in residence for the Columbia College Gospel Program. In addition, he has also managed to jump start his career as a song writer and had the privilege of traveling and teaching music workshops and choirs around the country. While deepening his understanding of music theory, voice techniques, music ministry operations, and the music industry at large; one of his goals is to give back to the local churches who desire to learn and grow.
Tone has also had the privilege of ministering with several different community choirs and artists in the Chicago land area. Those include the national second place winners for the 2010 How Sweet The Sound Gospel Choir Competition, Greater First Chorale, Mark Wright and Friends, Pharis Evans Jr. and Saints with a Vision, and the Stellar Award winning artist, Mark Hubbard and the Voices. Furthermore, he has performed alongside artists such as Tye Tribbet, Charlie Sexton, Richard Smallwood, Donald Lawrence, Byron Cage, Paula Cole, Marvin Sapp, Myron Williams and many others.
Additionally, Tone has recently organized his own music group, INSPIRED. Through INSPIRED, he plans to have an impact on the lives of all of those he and his ministry comes in contact with, inspiring them to turn their hearts toward Jesus Christ. One of his short term goals with this new group is to release a single and host a debut concert in the summer of 2013.
