Three old friends, Adam Sheppard, (lead vocals/rhythm guitar) Robyn Haithcock, (drums) and Sam Hulen, (lead guitar) formed their first band, Incognition, four years ago. The group started their career performing at local venues around Saint Louis, Missouri. After recording their first EP in 2012, Incognition’s sound evolved from the likes of Pearl Jam and the Foo Fighters, to a more Radiohead and Red Hot Chili Peppers inspired sound. In May 2013, they began working on their first mixtape under their new name, BLi$$, releasing the single ‘People’ at the end of June. After recording all six tracks for the new mixtape in a studio in St. Louis, BLi$$ has now sent the tracks to Los Angeles to be mixed and mastered by the Grammy award winning sound engineer, Reggie Dozier. The release date for the mixtape remains unannounced. The group now pulls from a broad range of 90’s influences as well as newer artists, allowing BLi$$ to further expand their sound into a purely unique niche of alternative rock.
