MORE ABOUT GARY DEBERRY
Born and raised in South Jamaica Queens. Started playing piano at 9 years of age. Started playing upright bass at 13 years of age. Never knew about Fender bass until my first group, The Mighty Fantastics. The Ramsey family introduced me to electric bass. We played in school talent shows and Park and Recreation affairs. We auditioned for the Apollo Amateur Night and made it. We came in second place at 14 years old playing "Coming Home Baby". Have now playied and composed for many years with several groups and stars. Taught bass guitar at Holy Cross H.S. in New York for 7 years. With God's help the best is yet to come!
