The Karma Kings are a Hampton Roads Virginia based band specializing in the best rock music from the 60's, 70's 80's, and 90's that includes hit bands from Deep Purple to The Goo Goo Dolls. The band is comprised of seasoned musicians from other successful local bands such as "Journey Back", "Venus Taxi", and "Time +10".
Lance Bailey, Guitar/Vocals
Lance has performed with several Tidewater bands since 1974 and truly enjoys playing guitar. His influences include The Beatles, Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck.
Zach Bridges, Keyboards/Vocals
Zach is a versatile pianist, keyboardist, and Hammond B3 enthusiast whose performance experiences include jazz, Top 40, rock, R&B, and gospel. His musical influences span many genres and includes Boston, Kansas, Billy Preston, Herbie Hancock, and Joe Sample.
Ed Murray, Drums
Ed has been performing on drums since the 70’s and is having a blast playing with The Karma Kings. His musical influences include Led Zeppelin, Traffic, Allman Brothers and Cream.
Tom Quinn, Guitar/Vocals
Tom has been performing in bands since 1977 and is a founding member of several Virginia Beach bands that include “Venus Taxi” and “Time +10”, Tom is well versed in the local music scene. His musical influences include Rush, The Beatles, Cream, Pink Floyd, Kansas, and Journey.
Gary Granger, Bass/Vocals
Gary has been playing bass from age 13.“When I found out no one else in the neighborhood wanted to play bass, I took one for the team - thank god”! His first “good band” (Blitzkrieg) was with Lance back in high school. Since then they’ve crossed musical paths a few times over the years.
Gary has played with a few familiar bands in the Tidewater area: The original Bubit (when it was a disco lounge band), The Xceptions (with Lance), Blue Lords, Brad Street, Bigger Dream, The Cory Daniel Band, Grant Taylor and Cosmik Debris.
His musical influences are: all the classic prog stuff, The Beatles, Gary Willis, Verdine White, Jaco Pastorius and “…anything out there with a great melody and/or groove to it.
