Eden King’s love affair with music began at an early age, when she learned how to operate the family’s vinyl record player before mastering how to brush her own teeth. During these years, she was introduced to a selection of sounds ranging from the classical stylings of Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra, to more modern genres such as K and J Pop.
As a three year old, Eden’s relentless desire to sing in front of family and friends was redirected and channeled into musical theatre and dance. It was then crystal clear to everyone where her talents lay as a performer.
After graduating from high school, Eden took a break from music and studied everything from law and behavioural science to make-up and hair artistry.
She edged back into the industry by providing lead vocals for Melbourne coverband Electrosaurus from 2009-2011.
But her underlying passion was completely reignited when in 2010 she joined forces with music producer and future The Voice Australia’s contestant Chris Sebastian to work on several tracks.
Since then, Eden has used her unique and emotive songwriting skills to collaborate with many local and international producers and DJs, most recently with L.A. hip hop sensation Lyda.
Currently in her final year studying Music Industry at RMIT, and continuing to pen her creative yet relatable lyrics with our city’s finest, it’s safe to say the world is her oyster.
Have a listen and you'll agree - there's no better place than the fun, flirtatious and forever tongue-in-cheek world of Eden King.
