Red Equals Meltdown showcases a heavy yet melodic sound greatly influenced by turn-of-the-century metal and hardcore complete with Relentless breakdowns, crushing vocals, Intense drumming and catchy guitar harmonies. Since forming in early 2013 Red Equals Meltdown quickly established a dominate presence in the Massachusetts music scene impressing audiences with their vigorous yet cohesive stage presence. By just their third performance they were chosen to play the Sumerian Records stage at the 2013 Connecticut date of The Rockstar Mayhem Festival alongside National Headliners such as Mastadon, Battlecross, Machine Head, Amon Amarth, and Emmure. Other notable acts R=M has shared the stage with include Overcast, Thy Will Be Done, Diecast, Jasta and Overkill. They also created a music video for "What is Dead May Never Die" which was featured on Kranktv.com and debuted in front of a sold out live audience. In late 2014 R=M released their debut EP "BEYOND SAVING". The Beyond Saving EP has been described as "an enjoyable listen showcasing their ability to write catchy songs" containing "engaging song writing and catchy riffs" and recalling "a time when metalcore bands didn't sound so overly processed and formulaic" in a review by Lambgoat.com.
