Ely Bascoy began playing guitar in 1987 at age 11, followed a year later by the bass. Ely Bascoy has been a performer in rock bands since 1994 playing bass, then later guitar and keyboards, for Dyslexic Postcards. He then went on to form Dollyrocker in 2000 and dollylectric in 2001. Then in 2004, Ely began playing with Number 3 Pencils.
Ely Bascoy's music has been used in two independent films, Running 4 President (for which he also co-wrote the screenplay), and Big Top, for which he scored the film.
As a producer, Ely has recorded several artists both in Miami and in Las Vegas including Dyslexic Postcards (both as a performer and producer), Rooftop Ridicule, and many other private projects.
As a composer, Ely has composed pieces ranging from Salsa to Hip Hop to Heavy Metal. Ely also engineered, mixed, and mastered these tracks.
