Jeremiah Maxey / Bio

Jeremiah Maxey is a singer/songwriter from Park City Ut. Jeremiah has a very unique guitar style, he plays his guitar in his lap in open tunings. Jeremiah lost his right arm at 6 weeks old but that never stopped him from pursuing music. Jeremiah’s father, Glenn, is a guitarist and he started to teach Jeremiah at the age of 10. By the time Jeremiah was 12 he was playing his first gigs in restaurants in Salt Lake City. Jeremiah has been playing since 1997 and in that time has done shows all over Utah and the west averaging over 100 a year. Jeremiah plays guitar, bass, dobro, autoharp, Pedal Steel, Lap Steel and other stringed instruments. In his spare time Jeremiah plays electric guitar and fronts Right Hand Band and plays Bass for Telluride Meltdown, and is currently the touring bassist for Tony Holiday & The velvetones. Jeremiah has had the great pleasure of playing with Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Great American Taxi, and Gabe Wincher of Punch Brothers to name a few. Kelly Ashkettle od In This Week said “““Jeremiah Maxey is a one-armed guitarist who can probably outplay most anyone you've ever met.”
