A breath of fresh air, Brand New Day is a plethora of raw emotion and talent originating in the small towns of Maine. Singer Nick Brann, Drummer Seth Boucher, and Bassist Jason Spaulding came together in 2013 by fate, and have bonded together in their passion for music and journey to play for others. All three came from humble backgrounds, with a lot to give and have thus poured their hearts and souls into every note of every song.
Their influences include Korn, Slipknot, Lamb Of God, Tool, Staind, and Asking Alexandria, although their style is very unique and refreshingly original. Their first song released was 'I'm Ok', followed by 'Fall', 'Decayed', and 'Broken' on Sound Cloud and Reverbnation.
In early 2014 Brand New Day signed on with manager John Rockmore of Rockmo Entertainment, and are basing their music out of Los Angeles while they record their first album in 2014.
Born in Lewiston, Maine 30-year-old bassist Jason Spaulding started playing the guitar when he was 17. In 2010 he added the harmonica, bass, and piano to his talents, taking his music career to the next level. He took part in several bands and various styles of music throughout Maine, until he felt his true calling with Singer Nick Brann in early 2013 to form Brand New Day with drummer, Seth Boucher, in June of that year.
Growing up, 21-year-old drummer Seth Boucher had a passion for music at a young age. His influences began with artists such as Metallica, Creed, Stained, Mudvane, Slipknot, Journey, Alan Jackson. “Music was always in my life. I had an ear for it, I could hear beats in songs and I was able to make beats without even trying – it was just there.” said Boucher. His early musical talents included the trumpet and the saxophone, but his true calling came when he sat down at a drumset for the first time at 16. He recalled the experience as feeling completely natural – his career in drumming had begun, and continued to today completely self-taught. In 2013 he met Nick and Jason, and took his talents to a professional level.
Born in the mountains of Maine, 25-year-old singer Nick Brann grew up in Buckfield, Maine. Music had always been a passion for him through his whole life, and kept coming back to it no matter what path of life he would try to take. With 15 years of experience in guitar and 7 in singing, he bonded with bassist Jason in early 2013.
In Nick’s own words, Brand New Day plays “…with dedication and ambition larger then the world; there is no mile we wont travel, no financial obstacle we wont cross, and no show we won’t bring a tri-force of sound and energy that will keep you on the edge of your seat and/or bumpin’ in the pit.”
