January of 2010 had Danny's quintet traveling to Washington D.C. to perform at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage for a series called "Songwriters: The Next Generation" sponsored by ASCAP. In May of 2010, the quintet headlined it's first Jazz Festival in Tom's River, New Jersey. Danny has appeared in concert with the big bands of Bobby Sanabria and Jonathan Batiste in Italy and up and down the east coast of the United States.
In May of 2011 Danny was commissioned by Steve Wilson to arrange St. Louis Blues for the "Songs of the Jazz Age" concerts at Jazz @ Lincoln Center's Allen Room. In April of 2008 Danny was commissioned by Bobby Sanabria to transcribe two masterworks made famous by Machito and his Afro Cubans for a 50th anniversary concert of Kenya put on by the Manhattan School of Music. The CD, Kenya Revisited: 50th Anniversary Concert, has been released by the Jazzheads label, and has been nominated for a 2009 Latin Grammy. Danny has also received awards from Downbeat and ASCAP for his compositions.
Danny has studied saxophone with Joe Temperley and Steve Wilson.
