Chad Triplett / Bio

Born in shadow of The Appalachian Mountains in Western NC, Chad asked for his first guitar at the age of 3 and quickly began imitating all the radio hero’s of the day. From Willie & Waylon to The Marshall Tucker Band & Glenn Campbell. Chad’s first song he sang on that tiny Woolworth plastic toy guitar was "Rhinestone Cowboy” then twenty sum old years rolled by before he picked up a real guitar. This time out of a longing or desperation you might say. He then quickly learning how to put his thoughts and feelings in a song. Chad's shared the stage with such great artists as Jamey Johnson, Dierks Bentley, Steve Earle, Whiskey Myers, Confederate Railroad, Jason Micheal Carroll, Sunny Ledfurd to name drop a few. Honing his craft and paying his dues in such time honored haunts as The Bowery in Myrtle Beach SC & Coyote Joe’s in Charlotte NC! Chad is a throwback to the country music scene in the seventies with a whole lot of outlaw blood flowing threw his veins. Chad's debut album "Weathered" was released on Mother's Day 2013 and quickly was picked up by every clear channel country station in the USA! His first release "George Jones" has received continuous radio play ever since! In July of 2013 Chad signed with 23 Muzik Group and recently released his largest hit single to date "Southern Woman Loving", currently being played on country stations across the country as well as iHeart Radio. His name and music is quickly rising all over the country music scene which is evident with Chad being booked to perform at the 2015 CMA Fest in Nashville TN. His new release "Southern Woman Loving peaked at #1 on The New Country Artist Top 40 Countdown on two separate occasions in Nov & Dec 2014.

Working in FM radio over 10 years, has also helped fuel that singer/songwriter itch for Chad. In radio he is known as “Trip” and he has his finger prints in all aspects of the radio business. Everything from sales, production, and as a
on air personality! Chad continues to play all over the country with his new outlaw country rock band “Chad Triplett and Two Lane Blacktop” (The Official band of 92.1 FM The Big Dawg) and he loves fishing and hunting as well as going camping with friends and he is a true southern Nascar nut! His true love is his soul mate Ally and his 3 boys, Treigh, Tyler, & Tanner.

Sometimes when the weather is just right and the trout are biting, you may find Chad deep in the hills of Western Wilkes County. There’s a place there we he goes to get away and escape society…to bait a hook and wet a line like his kin folk before him. Its is where his Dad was raised and where his Grandfather once made moonshine while his Grand-maw taught her kid’s about The Lord. It's where his roots run as deep as the hollar where his Grandfather turned corn mash into corn liqueur and where Chad turns stories into songs.
