Payton Nicole is a 18 yr old singer/songwriter has been writing her own songs since the age of 6. Her ability to sing almost any genre of music has landed her opportunites to open for The Doobie Brother, Kenny Loggins, Van Wilks, Christopher Cross and many other over the years. At age 10 she joined School of Rock and for 5 years studied guitar and voice. During those 5 years she performed at ACL, Red 7, Luckenbach , SxSw, Stubbs, The Mohawk & Ruta Maya with not only the SOR band, but with her own bands Close 5th, Vintage Daisies & Gypsy. She has sang the National Anthem for the Austin Cap 10k, Keep Austin Weird Fest, Camp Mabry, Texas Motor Speedway (NASCAR) in 2011 & most recently the Duck Commander 500 ( NASCAR) in April 2014. In early 2012 Payton decided to make a move to Austin School of Music where she met owner Dave Sebree, who took her under his wing. Since that time she has played La Grange Fest ( hosted by ZZTOP), Threadgills (Opening for Van Wilks, Eric Johnson & Christopher Cross) , SXSW , Maria's Taco Express & The Continental Club with her former band Gypsy. . In 2013 she was asked by Gary Keller ( Keller-Williams Realty owner) to front his band in Dallas opening for the Doobie Brothers. She was asked back in 2014 and was able to front the band alongside Malford Milligan (Storyville) in opening for Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald. In February 2012 she decided to go back to her country music roots and venture out as a solo artist. Since going solo she released her first EP titled "So it Begins..." In addition to playing music Payton and her partner/friend William Harries Graham ( son to Austin Legend Jon Dee Graham) are the founders/directors of the local non-profit Music 4 Music. This foundation works to assist areas where music programs are non existent or struggling.
