Rachel is a 17 year old singer and song composer with a soulful writing style and natural performance ability. She is a 2015 Semi-Finalist in the Unsigned Only Music Competition and just recently returned from the Canadian Country Music Awards where she was one of eight artists selected from across Canada by International Music Publisher Ole to perform at a showcase.
Rachel began music at an early age and continued her studies in voice, piano and musical theatre proceeding through the Trinity Guildhall Musical Theatre Program with marks of distinction all the way through her final exams. When she was twelve, she picked up a guitar and fell in love with the simple yet captivating sound. Her love for music further took her down a path of writing and composing her own songs and into a new realm of performing including emerging artist showcases during Canadian Country Music Awards Week for the past four years.
Rachel’s passion for performing has led to her being featured at the Opening Ceremonies of the International Children’s Winter Games, performing at the Calgary Stampede, the Merritt Country Music Walk of Stars and having sang during a BC Lions Half Time Show for a Salute to Veterans. Over the past six years she has supported her local sports teams by singing anthems. She also sings for the Vancouver Canucks (NHL), the Vancouver Canadians (NWL) and the BC Lions (CFL).
Rachel continues to hone her musical skills while keeping busy playing at festivals, charitable events, and showcases.
She is continually writing new songs and recently won at a youth driven environmental International conference with an original song she wrote about the beauty of nature called I Wonder. In addition, one of her original compositions was just included on Elektrokore Music’s international compilation album Déjà Vu, which included 17 Indie Artists from around the world. Her music has been featured on Juice FM’s Breakout BC Radio Show, Women of Substance Radio and Chasing Your Dream Radio.
“I think this is a girl to keep your eye on. Her songwriting style has such a beautiful vibe, very raw and honest.”
